Heroes and Jericho

You would not believe how relieved I am that reality tv is finally dying down. This means that America can stop rotting their minds and simply enjoy well told stories. Two of which I have started watching recently.

Heroes

This is an interesting show, not the fantasy about people with super powers that you would think, its more involved, complicated, and more than a little dark. Such as the stripper mom with the genius boy. She seems to be really tough, a killer, literally. The catch? She only seems to be this amazing fighter, when she is channelling her dark split personality. A painter who can paint the future, but only when high on heroine. An indestructable cheerleader who’s stepfather is the main bad guy. A fllier with depression issues and the first super? A psychotic killer who seems to enjoy brains. They get all of this baggage while trying to stop the destruction of New York in 5 weeks.

Jericho

Speaking of the apocalypse, it has occurred in America in this new show. At least 5 or more nukes seem to have hit the US, but not much is known in the little town of Jericho, where people are trying to figure things out, and learning more and more.

So, thank you networks for finally showing some good stories (of course ther is lost and battlestar) and I am sure that the American audience will force them into cancelation soon in order to watch another reality tv dancing show. Bastards.

Iktomi Site is up

Got my business site up, I suck at designing, and I want to expand the site with time, so I chose a CMS, Drupal specifically. Very different from my experiences with joomla and phpnuke, but I like it so far.

I should be getting a small business loan soon, then I can afford to start drumming up business. Well see I guess : )

The Pusher - The Prologue

Carl Hoggens was just supposed to be going to a baseball game with his family.
He didn’t know that at the end of the third inning he would get an unexplained, embarrasing and painful erection. Or that in the beginning of the fourth inning he would break three of his fingers when his fist crushed his wife’s cheekbone and jaw, killing her in a rage he doesn’t remember.

And he wasn’t the only one.

Frank Hurtz was officially on vacation as far as the NSA payroll department was concerned. Only four people in the government knew the real reason for his being in Burbank, California. Frank would normally not attend such a social event as a baseball game, too many people, too many minds. But his research told him that this could be the epicenter of an event. When the wave of lust hit he knew that he was right. His heart raced as his eyes instinctively found each exposed flesh, each curve. He couldn’t trace the source, the power was so strong that the emotions were reflecting from everyone around him. He hoped that it wouldn’t get out of control. Fourteen minutes later, lust would turn to hate and the stands would become a medieval battlefield. When the anger came, while the others gave in to it, Frank fought it, blood came from his nose, eyes and ears, the world spiraled beneath him and he fell. It may have saved his life.

Bobby Hawkins was a twelve-year-old baseball fan, and he was in love…..
