Its a start…
Well, I have completed my first article for money since…well…it has been awhile. There are some parts of it that I liked, others that I did not. It was short, but the required length. It lacked the sources that I am more comfortable with, quotes/statistics, etc. but it was on a subject that I am new too. I am not as concerned as I normally would be as it only pays about .08 cents a word, less than most magazines. But I am hoping that it is a start, the start I need. It is copywriting, not journalism, so I am not sure if I will get attribution, if I do, or if I learn where it will be, I’ll link to it. Is this a first baby step, or a dead end, I’ll admit I am a little worried it is the latter.
