As you can tell from the recent twitter posts, I received a new job, a second job really. I am working for family doing contract based home repair of…well whatever comes along. So far it has only been two lcd televisions and one plasma, but it could be computers, setup, cable installation, etc.
At times it can be greatly frustrating, especially with some of the more poorly designed machines out there. In one case, I had to remove five layers of metal casings and boards to get to a small board called a vertical control board. I lost count of how many screws at around 5o. Hard to remember where you removed those from an hour later.
It is getting easier, and I hope it continues to. Perhaps I may even start doing this on a more permanent basis, the pay is good, but the hours are far too variable for now.
